Consider, if you will, a Sunday morning.
Good morning. I'm afraid Ruth is sick this morning, so we'll be singing a cappella today.
Let's begin with our opening hymn.
[The congregation sings, unevenly, without the organ.]
Don't be that congregation. Be this one.
Oh no. Don't you worry about a thing, Ruth. You rest up.
Everything all right?
Ruth's sick. No organist. And the Divine Service is in an hour.
The Kyrie, the hymns, a cappella today?
Give me a minute, Pastor.
A little while later ...
Can it really carry the whole Divine Service?
It's all in there, in order.
It runs on our own server, right there in the closet.
Let's begin with our opening hymn.
